Our International Development portfolio provides financial support for AIDS Relief initiatives in Africa and we’ve added a new stream dedicated to supporting organizations advocating for LGBTQIA2SS+ rights on a global scale. The first two organizations incorporated into this portfolio are Dignity Network Canada and Rainbow Railroad.
Dignity Network Canada comprises a coalition of civil society organizations across Canada actively engaged in promoting the human rights of individuals, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, and sex characteristics on a global scale.
Rainbow Railroad is a global not-for-profit organization headquartered in the United States and Canada, dedicated to assisting at-risk LGBTQIA2SS+ individuals in reaching safety worldwide. Operating in a time when there is an unprecedented number of displaced people, LGBTQIA2SS+ individuals face unique vulnerabilities due to systemic, state-enabled homophobia and transphobia.
The KM Hunter Foundation has been supporting both of these organizations for several years, recognizing them as two of the most robust entities championing this crucial international work and based in Canada. We remain committed to expanding our portfolio by adding new organizations over the next few years as part of our ongoing growth.
